Chiropractic care
Chiropractic care is a whole system approach. We examine the relationship between the structure of your body (primarily the spine and pelvis) and the function of your nervous system. A chiropractor considers how this relationship maybe effecting your overall health and healing abilities.
The skull, spine and pelvic bones protect the delicate tissues of your brain, spinal cord and the nerves that exit the spine. If these nervous system pathways experience interference due to things like Injury, poor posture or stress, altered patterns of movement can begin in your spine. Chiropractors call this a subluxation.
Why is spinal movement important?
Scientists now know how your spine moves, is very important for keeping your brain healthy. When a spinal segment does not move properly, it changes the way your brain perceives and responds to all other sensory information that enters your nervous system. In other words, “spinal function seems to be one factor your brain uses to help process and integrate all of the information from your environment.” Haavik and Holt
